Falmouth gardeners are about 15 minutes from our Westbrook garden center and 20 from South Portland — perennials, shrubs, trees, houseplants and bagged soil and mulch to take home.
Good to know for Falmouth gardens
Falmouth splits between the Foreside along Casco Bay and West Falmouth’s larger, more wooded lots. Foreside gardens deal with salt and wind, so salt-tolerant shrubs and perennials planted in groups do best near the water. West Falmouth yards are shadier and see plenty of deer, which makes deer-resistant perennials and shrubs the practical base. Falmouth isn’t on our bulk delivery list, so take home bagged compost, potting soil and mulch from Westbrook or South Portland — call either store about a larger job.
