Porcupine Grass ‘Strictus’

Miscanthus sinensis ‘Strictus’ is a distinctive upright grass requiring full sun and average watering. Green foliage features bold horizontal golden-yellow bands that create a unique porcupine-like appearance. Reddish-bronze plumes emerge in late summer, fading to tan and persisting through winter. Portland gardeners appreciate its stiffly upright habit that resists flopping, making it an architectural focal point in perennial borders and mass plantings.
