Ragwort; Leopard Plant ‘King Kong’

Ligularia ‘King Kong’ is an exceptionally large shade perennial with massive dark purple leaves and golden orange daisy flowers in part to full shade. The enormous foliage can reach over a foot across, creating an architectural statement in woodland gardens and shaded borders. In mid to late summer, tall flower spikes rise above the impressive leaves, adding bright color and attracting pollinators. This vigorous grower needs consistently moist soil and protection from hot sun to prevent leaf scorch.
