Bugleweed ‘Chocolate Chip’

Ajuga ‘Chocolate Chip’ is a compact groundcover perennial for part to full shade, distinguished by its small, narrow chocolate-purple and green leaves that create a fine-textured carpet. This slower-spreading variety produces delicate blue flower spikes in spring and is ideal for tight spaces, edging, or between stepping stones where less aggressive growth is desired. The diminutive foliage adds rich color without overwhelming smaller companion plants, and the plant remains evergreen in milder climates. Deer-resistant and low-maintenance, it tolerates a range of conditions once established and requires little care beyond occasional watering during dry spells.
